I know they won't be there for me
Until the very end
But I've learned twice as much from my enemies
As I ever will from my friends

You all know who you are
Should you happen to read this confession
And I have to thank you
For every priceless lesson

She showed me my potential
The way I could have been
Perfect in appearance
But irreversibly flawed within

Your actions taught me to accept
What I cannot change
So thanks for your stupidity
Although that may sound strange

He taught me that passion is like alcohol
I was addicted to the feeling
But now I've learned not to drink and drive
And so I've begun my healing

You showed me how it felt to live
On the edge of stability
Enticing me with danger
You also set me free

I hate the girl who made me see
The other points of view
I'd be lost if I was still blind
I resent it but it's true

Every word you spoke was a challenge
And I chose to accept
I've grown immeasurably stronger
Through every tear I haven't wept

You all know who you are
Should you happen to read this confession
And I have to thank you
For every priceless lesson

I know they won't be there for me
Until the very end
But I've learned twice as much from my enemies
As I ever will from my friends

Heh, that is awesome... You're now my hero for the day:). I always trust my enemies more than my friends, and for good reason at that. Anyway, Excellent Ode! Very well done.

too true... but you can learn a lot of things from your friends like love (yes i no it;s cheesey) and how to have a good time... but it seems that an enemy can really teach you a lot of valuble lessons... like that people will betray you and shit like that... wow i am really babbling.. lol ttyl

if you don't have the courage to send your child into war, why do you support the war?
